When Kentucky's metals industry needed a bigger stage, we built it. From the event floor to the headlines.

The Opportunity

Kentucky's metals industry employs thousands of people and drives significant economic impact across the Commonwealth. The Metals Innovation Initiative knew that story deserved a bigger stage. Partnering with multiple state cabinets and the Governor's office, our client, MI2, relied on S&T to plan and execute a high-impact convening that recognized the industry and the people who power it

Our Role

From kickoff to follow-through, we operated as a full-service integrated partner. That meant full-scale event planning and logistics at The Foundry on Broadway, project management across key government, industry, and press stakeholders, and direct communication coordination between MI2 and the Governor's Office. We also developed and delivered a media strategy tied to real-time policy news, ensuring the event didn't just happen — it landed.

The Impact

When the room cleared, the story kept moving. The event was featured on the Governor's social media pages, earned strategic media placement in publications including Recycling Today, and positioned MI2 as a statewide voice in innovation, industry, and economic growth. A national tariff news hook extended the story's relevance well beyond event day, driving follow-up coverage that kept MI2 in the conversation.

The Takeaway

State & Tell turns partnerships into presence and strategy into stories that land. Whether it's connecting stakeholders or securing press, we help amplify the voices shaping Kentucky's future.

It's your story to tell.

"Kentucky's metals industry powers this state. Our job was to make sure the rest of the world knew it too."
